Gorgonzola DOP
Gorgonzola is one of the best known Italian cheeses in the world, and it boasts the Protected Designation of Origin (P.D.O.), recognised by E.U..
It is Ciresa's main product, made following centuries-old traditional methods.
Soft cheese with light green/grey veins with a sweet taste. Cylindrical shape, weight 12 kg, pink rind with some green mould.
Aging: about 8/10 weeks.
Keeping: at +2° to +6° C.
Packaging: whole cheese weight 12 kg, and 1/2, 1/4, and 1/8 of whole. Available besides in portions of 200 g (fixed weight) in plastic boxes in modified atmosphere.
Ingredients: Pasteurized full-cream cow milk, salt, rennet, min. fat 48%.
