Ingredients
- 8 oz uncooked ziti or rigatoni (about 3 cups)
- 1 can (28 oz) Italian diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 jar (24 oz) fire-roasted tomato and pasta sauce
- 1 package (16 oz) sausage, sliced
- 2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1 cup 4% cottage cheese
Method
- Cook pasta in a Dutch oven according to package directions for al dente; drain and return to pot.
- Add diced tomatoes, pasta sauce and sausage; heat through over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in 1 cup mozzarella and the cottage cheese.
- Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella.
- Cook covered 2–5 minutes, until cheese is melted.
