Serves 6–12 (depending on portion size)
Ingredients
- 1 large baguette, cut into 1 inch slices
- 4 tsp olive oil
- 15 oz jar of Ceriello Homemade Basil Sauce
- Additional toppings (optional): ricotta cheese, cherry tomatoes (optional Ceriello Balsamic Vinegar), mozzarella, prosciutto
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Spread the baguette slices onto a baking tray that will fit under the grill (broiler). Drizzle some olive oil across the top.
- Grill on high for a couple of minutes, until the bread is lightly toasted. Flip the bread and toast the other side too.
- Remove from the grill and place onto a serving dish.
- Spread the Ceriello Homemade Basil Sauce over the top of the toasted bread.
- Serve as-is or add further toppings, such as ricotta cheese, balsamic cherry tomatoes (using Ceriello Balsamic Vinegar), sliced mozzarella, or sliced prosciutto.
