Ingredients
- 8 Ceriello Fresh Chicken Sausage
- 1 tbsp of olive oil
- 15 oz cooked green lentils, drained
- 15 oz jar of Ceriello Homemade Puttanesca Sauce
- 1/2 cup pitted Kalamata olives, halved
- 4 tbsp capers, drained
- 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped, plus extra for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan and add the sausages. Brown the sausages on all sides, around 5 minutes.
- Add the cooked green lentils and the Ceriello Homemade Puttanesca Sauce. Bring to a gentle simmer, cover, and cook for around 10 minutes.
- Stir in the halved Kalamata olives, drained capers, and chopped fresh basil.
- Check that the sausages are cooked through before serving.
- Serve with mashed potatoes and greens, garnished with extra fresh basil.
