Basil Sauce Baked Cod

Ingredients

  • 1 jar (15 oz) Ceriello Homemade Basil Sauce
  • 4 cod fillets (about 5–6 oz each) (or halibut, haddock, or tilapia)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp capers, drained
  • 1/2 cup pitted Kalamata olives, halved (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Kosher salt and black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or basil (for serving)
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 400°F.
  2. In a baking dish, spread 1 cup basil sauce. Stir in olive oil, capers, olives (if using), oregano, and red pepper.
  3. Pat fish dry and season lightly with salt and pepper. Nestle fillets into the sauce.
  4. Spoon remaining sauce over the top.
  5. Bake 15–18 minutes (depending on thickness), until fish flakes easily.
  6. Finish with parsley/basil and a squeeze of lemon.
